#8 Urban Living in Wood - CO₂-neutral House in Stuttgart
In this episode, we explore “Max Acht,” a pioneering residential project on the site of the former Olga Hospital in Stuttgart’s west. Built from glue-free solid timber, the four-story residential building is entirely recyclable and CO₂-neutral. It’s the first of its kind in Stuttgart and Baden-Württemberg, and falls under building class 4. “Max Acht” offers eleven apartments of varying sizes, including two subsidized and two inclusive apartments, as well as attractive communal areas. The project was realized by the Baugemeinschaft MaxAcht.
